Momsky Natural Park
Located in the Verkhoyansky Range, East Yakutia, Siberia/Russia.
The total area of the park is 4577,6 thousands ha. The natural park’s territory is the northern Yakuts and one of the Arctic indigenous – the Evenis — place of living.
What the Far North is, what beautiful and sometimes exceptional its severe nature is, will understand everyone visiting the park “Momsky”. Here is situated aufeis “Ulakhan-Taryn” which size and might almost equals to the peak Fedchenko in Pamir. It is 5-7 km wide, abot 40 km long and the ice depth is 7 meters. Another attraction is the Peak of Victory (3147 m), the highest peak in the north-east of Siberia.
Moreover, you can see a volcano Balagan-Taac, high-altitude massifs and enjoy mineral-springs’ water which equals to famous Caucasian one in the park. Wildlife is rich in species here. Among 25 kinds of affected here mammals 11 are commercial species. The Moma River is stretched for 600 km; the river flow rate is high especially in the rolls what attracts rafting-lovers.
