Diamonds, diamonds, diamonds! They are ladies’ best friends. They are clean and precious and beautiful. And, you know what, the land of Sakha (Yakutia) has a lot of them under the surface. There were even a joke. There are so many diamonds in Yakutia that locals tend to use them in football instead of balls. A pretty funny, but the funniest thing is that outside people believe in it

Whatever we, residents of Yakutia, may say about these crystals, diamonds are the first thing that comes in association with my land. So I decided to continue brilliant topic. I asked my friends in EPL Diamond LLC to provide me with a few photos of their product, and they sent me a few and promised to give more in the near future. Here they are …

About the EPL Diamond

At present EPL Diamond LLC keeps the first position among diamond cutting enterprise in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and remains the only one, which the biggest Russia-based diamond mining company ALROSA provides stable supplies of raw material.

EPL Diamond was officially established in 1999, but it was done on basis of the existing company Experimental Production Laboratory (EPL), that had been working since 1993.

Currently the company’s technological cycle includes all process from the moment raw material buying up to diamonds cutting, wholesale loose diamonds sale (diamonds), and jewelry production. Its products might be purchaised across Russia as well as in China (Shanghai), Israel and USA (San Fransisco).

Diamond House Trade Center in Yakutsk

As I twitted, on Tuesday I had an unique opportunity to visit EPL Diamond’s biggest diamond-cutting factory and jeweller’s store in Yakutsk. See pics and info.

EPL Diamond is the Yakutsk-based stock company (established in 1994) that produces real Yakutian brilliants out of ALROSA’s diamonds mined in West Yakutia. It produces also its own jewelry.

EPL Diamond sells certified Yakutian brilliants and jewelry through the vast wholesale and retail network that includes 15 trade centers “Diamond House” across Russia and stores in China (Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong), Israel (Ramat Gan in the Tel Aviv district), USA (San Francisco).
