Yesterday I and my family went to the circus. As compared with my little sons, I hadn’t any illusions. I had being expected to see ordinary clowns and ponies, and young jugglers and acrobats, who graduated from the Beijing circus school. That was what I had seen five years ago in the Sakha circus known as the most northern. Before taking kids to the circus, however, I wondered how Yakutian circus artists were able to earn many international awards, including a few in Monte Carlo, and how they managed to sign contracts on tours across Europe and the North America.
