It is located in the northern-eastern part of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), precisely in the area of the upper and lower area of the Moma River in Momsky District. It occupies 1959.9 square hectare or, if with Eselyakh Reserve, 4361.3 square hectare.

This time we proudly present another talented young artist from the Siberian region of Yakutia. It’s Anna Osipova (her page at ArtBreak.com). Anna graduated the Far Eastern State Academy of Arts. Currently she creates her masterpieces at the Ural-Siberian studio of the Russian Academy of Artists. Her early works were inspired by the North and reindeer herders’ life. These pictures are from Evgenia Arbugaeva‘s photo book «Following the Reindeer» (141 pages) that depicts the daily life of the Even reindeer herders in the mountain area around the settlement of Topolinoe in Tomponsky region (two days by a car from Yakutsk) in Russia’s Siberian republic of Yakutia. Watch this video done by a friend of mine, Dmitry, also known as UF58, in Yakutia’s Chersky Range last summer, and you’ll get an idea of what to do first, when meeting a brown bear in the Siberian wildness. I have a friend of mine, Mikhael Mestnikov. He appeared to be an active traveler and a big fan of rafting and mountain trekking. Moreover, he prefers to do all his summer expeditions within the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Mikhael is the chief of the Yakutsk-based travel club “Dokhsun.” In summer of 2010, Mestnikov’s travel club arranged the combined expedition with rafting the Indigirka River and trekking the Chersky Range. Maciej Besta is a Polish student, who spent one month, August 2010, with his friend on hiking from the Kolyma Highway to Sasyr through the Chersky Mountains in East Yakutia.
